With all of the Toy Fair hoopla this week, I was reminded of one of the rarer items that has eluded me over the years. The 2008 Lego Toy Fair Han Solo Indiana Jones Transformation Chamber.
This is one of the rarest Toy Fair Giveaways that Lego has done and it is also one of the more unique. This set was given away to VIP’s that were invited to the collectors party on February 16th 2008. Obviously the premise behind the set is that Lego had licensed both lines and Harrison Ford had played both Characters in both movies! Bricklink has a listing for this set, but it does not contain any recent sales so it is difficult to tell its actual value. Both of the figures that are in this set are available in other sets, so the rarity of this set is just based on the case and the limited number of the whole set.
The reason that I was decided to write about this set today is because as I was watching eBay for the potential Exclusives from Yesterday’s show, I saw this listing for one of these sets over on eBay for a fairly reasonable price.
This eBay user has quite a few other unique rare lego items as well.
They were both already sold, so I missed my opportunity, but this is the first time that I have seen these on the open market in several years. This particular piece is kind of special since it is actually a licensed item for both Star Wars and Indiana Jones at the same time.
Thanks for looking.
