Exclusive Official Lego Build Your City of Tomorrow Lego Minifigure

I just picked this figure up and I do not know much about him yet.

It appears to be a promotional exclusive that is available only in Canada in limited quantities.  I am uncertain of how it will be distributed or if it will be distributed at all.  This particular figure was sent to a few Canadian Blog sites as a promotional kit to promote the “Build your city of Tomorrow” event that is going on in Canada this weekend.  You can read more about this event here.  But basically, it appears to be some sort of building event at some Toys R Us stores in Canada that will be held on Sunday!

This event is mentioned here on Facebook as well.  It appears to be associated with the 150th anniversary of Canada?  See here

As you can see, the figure is an Exclusive Lego promotional minifigure with an unknown distribution.  It will only be available in Canada and it has the lego Logo on the back as well as a Canadian Maple Leaf on the hat.   Here is my video review of the minifigure.  I am missing the ID and packing materials that came with this.  The perils of getting this second hand!

The figure arrived in this lunchbox Style Tin.  I picked this up second hand on from someone that received one directly from lego.  I did not receive the ID that this post mentions, but I really do not care as it would have had a name on it any ways!

Inside the figure was in a special bag tacked to the bottom.

Here it is before being cut open!

Here is the front of the figure!  Notice the Canadian Maple Leaf on the hat!

Here is the back with the Lego Logo

Thanks for looking

Today I have another minifigure collection for you to check out.  Another reader Surat Tee from the USA sent me some incredible pictures of his collection and display wall that I thought you would also enjoy!

I see Harry Potter, Star Wars, LOTR’s, Hobbit, Simpsons and other Collectible Minifigures and Super Heroes.  Surat said that he purchased these frames from the store and custom made shelves for them.  They look really really nice.

Here are some more images of his collection.

As always, thanks for looking and I hope you have enjoyed these collections over the past few weeks.

EDIT:    See below for SKU numbers and prices.  We found out about these figures below earlier at the German and US Toy Fairs in January and February.  We also saw a sneak peek at the minifigures over on the BrickShow website here.  It appears that after the press was done, Lego decided to reveal these minifigures and some other people were able to snap images.

Thanks to Michael over at Promobricks took some pictures of the sample boxes for the Lego Ninjago Movie and Series 17 Collectible Minifigures and we now now that Series 17 will go back to 16 figures and The Lego Ninjago Movie will have 20 again line the Lego Batman Movie.  I am not sure what we are going to do with all of these series that do not have 16 figures.  It is making it hard to display these.

Lego Series 17 71018 Collectible Minifigures

16 Minifigures – May 2017 release

Lego Series Ninjago Collectible Minifigures 71019

20 Minifigures – September 2017?

This picture has also been circulating and I have to assume that we may have some facts crossed on Series 19 Ninjago Movie?

71019?  August 1st?

If so, does that mean the image from Michael at Promobricks is actually series 2 of the Disney figures?  We will have to wait and see….

Thanks for looking

Collectors Corner Minifigure Display – How do you display your Minifigures – Here is how Jimmy Displays his Minifigures

This post and site contains Affiliate links. I may earn a small commission if you click on them. Click here for more details.

I have been having a great time getting images from readers of their collections.  This has always been one of my favorite parts about collecting Lego Minifigures.  Trying to figure out how to display the minifigures.

I am always searching for new ways and people come up with so many novel and unique ways to display their minifigures and I am constantly seeing new ideas.  Today’s collection is actually a brand new idea that I have never seen before.  I do not even think I have seen anything close to this one before.

Today’s collection come from Jimmy Wyble.  Jimmy is an IT professional like myself and he has a company called Bluewire Technology.  It is funny how many IT people collect minifigures.  🙂  I am starting to think that we are attracted to organizing Lego Minifigures for some reason.  lol

As you can tell from the images above, Jimmy has used Stor Slat shelving solutions for his display.  Like I said earlier, this is an idea that I have not yet seen and I have seen Quite a few.  Jimmy said that he picked his shelves up from FireFly Solutions.

“All slatwall and shelving was purchased from firefly store solutions. 2×8 ft slatwall sheets. 15″, 9″ and 7.52″ shelves. Minifigure has display slot in front for signage”

Here are some more photos if his display.

Jimmy also gave us a few pictures of his Lego room as well.  Please see below.

Jimmy looks to be a huge collector!  As always, please send me your collection pictures and I will post them.  No collection is too big or too small!

Thanks for looking

A reader “Anders L” send me an image of a set that he picked up recently and it is a new Certified Professional set that I have been looking for images of.  I saw this set in a promo pack from Just2Good for Lego Worlds recently and I had been searching for images of it.

Serial Number 73 – As I have noticed earlier, Bright Bricks is doing us a favor by now numbering their Certified Professional sets.
