Bricklive Bronze Medal Minifigure 2016 – Summer of Sports Competition

A reader just notified me of this auction on eBay and I did a little research about this minifigure and it appears that these were given out for first, second and third place prizes in a series of photo contests during the summer of 2016 by Bricklive.  Here is a link to the Website post.  This is a custom minifigure produced for Bricklive.

I saw these on AFOL of Lego Facebook group this morning and I thought that they looked awesome.  I emailed the poster and learned that they were hand painted by this artist Matt’s Custom Art here on twitter and instagram.  It looks like he does quite a few different themes and the work looks awesome.  I thought that you might enjoy these also!

I have some better pictures of the POTC set than the ones that I posted a few days ago as well as the first build pictures for the set.  I will continue to post these as the builder gets farther along, but so far the set looks really impressive!

It looks like Amazon UK and Amazon France have given us the first hi resolution images of the new Exclusive Minifigure that will be included in the new DK Book DC Comics the Awesome Guide.  The figure as always, looks great and will be a must have for Lego Super Hero Collectors!  Click on any of the images below to order the book.  When I checked this morning, it was $12.95 on Amazon US.

In case you did not already know, this figure will be included in the new  DK Book DC Comics the Awesome Guide which can not be pre-ordered on Amazon US here or at the other sites above.

We still have not seen the back printing, but this figure clearly comes with a Lasso.  However, no golden wrist cuffs though.  That would have been a nice touch!.  🙁
