A reader of the site is one of the group of people running Brick Fiesta in Texas in July. See here. He was also kind enough to send over a copy of the very limited minifigure torso that was created for the show that is happening from July 7th to July 10th this summer. I have not seen any pictures of the torso anywhere yet, but they gave me the green light to post it yesterday. So here it is.
The public part of the show is July 9th and July 10th. Please see here for details. He also mentioned that the minifigure torso is limited to 300 copies and comes in a few different colors. Black and Red are the most rare, while blue is the most common color.
They were selling these up until May 27th, but I heard that they may have a few at the door, so if you are in Texas and anywhere near Houston, I would try to attend the show.
I took a few liberties with the torso and combined it it with a Benny Minifigure with some GB blue boxing gloves to see how it looked! I think it turned out pretty well. I was also trying to match the Poster that Brick Fiesta created for their show as well.
The torso has a very neat fiesta logo that is created to look like the classic space logo and it also have the following writing on the back in white letters.
Here is the actual torso. Mine has a little scratch in it. 🙁 Just ignore that, you can barely see it until the flash exaggerated it.
Brick Fiesta Houston
Brick Fiesta has been doing this show since 2011 and they rotate to each of the different cities in Texas each year. Austin, Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio. They have not been in Houston since 2012!
Here are a few highlights from the web site.
“Adults and children alike will be in awe of the amazing LEGO creations on display in this 32,000 sq. ft. area. From massive train, city, & space layouts to unbelievable micro-scale models, from highly detailed works of art to pop culture references, and everything in between, everyone is sure to have a great time. You can look at the displays, meet, and talk with the builders about their creations. There will also be a number of vendors who will have hard to find & discontinued LEGO sets, loose brick & LEGO elements (available by the piece or in bulk), custom LEGO compatible elements & accessories, books, & apparel. You will even be able to buy a custom drawn caricature of yourself as a LEGO minifigure.”
