I noticed these last summer while I was looking at the Character Building Dr. Who Minifigures.  They looked good enough that I wanted to give them a try.  I was also pretty interested in the cases that came with them.

The problem was, that they were not selling these in the US and it did not look like they were planning to anytime soon.  To make matters worse, no one was selling a complete set.  They were just selling blind packs and the blind packs were not cheap.

I basically just forgot about them for a while since I was not planning to spend 100+ for a set of these, and I cannot imagine getting some without getting a complete set.

Then in December, I saw an eBay sale for 33 pounds for the complete set.   I felt that was a reasonable price and I pulled the trigger.

The seller actually sent me 12 instead of ten.  Probably because the common figures so outnumber the rares, that they have a billion extra common figures and they were just trying to be nice.

So here goes my quick review of these figures.

Here is the contents that come in one package.  You will notice that they all come packaged in a nice display box.  I was really excited about these boxes as I was wondering if I could use them to display my Lego figures.

Here is a close up of the insert that comes with each figure.  Front and back.  It lists out all of the figures with a checklist for you to use as you are collecting these.

Here is all ten after I opened them and threw out all of the trash.  Notice that they are packaged similar to Mega Bloks figures in a small individual plastic bag.

Finally, many of you are probably wondering if the heads from the figures will fit on regular Lego Minifigures and the answer is that they will as long as the body does not overlap.  I only looked for a minute to find suitable parts to make these two, but I think that they do not look too bad.

Character Building Heads on Lego Bodies Fit just fine.

I am pretty sure that a nice set of custom figures could be made with a little bit of searching for the correct bodies.  In this case, I used a Spongebob body and the chick man body as a quick fix.
