With new level packs released this week, we are seeing a bunch of images of the JETSONS and the FLINTSTONES homes in the video game on YouTube videos popping up all over the place.  I think that we have to assume with Lego and Hanna Barbara working together that this is just a matter of time now.

Here is an ideas project for the Jetsons, but it is still preliminary at best.

Here are what some potential figures could look like from this ideas project.

EDIT:  I missed one.  Gimli has a new head as well.  🙁  I just went and picked one up.  I will add pics later.

I picked up all of the starter Pack, Fun Packs and Team Packs from wave one that fit the following criteria.

• Were not Chima or Ninjago
• Were not Jurasic Park
• Were Licensed
• I thought that they may be unique

I picked up some of these from Amazon, some from Best Buy and Some from Toys R Us.

I also picked up the Starter Pack with Batman, WyldStyle and Gandalf.  All in all, I picked up 12 figures including the ones that come in the Starter pack.   I also picked up quite a few vehicles, but I do not have time to look at those today.

Of the 12 figures that I looked at in Wave on, my original prediction was pretty close.  I was wrong on a few points as follows.

• Gandalf is sporting a new head
• WildStyle is not new
• Bad Cop is not new

So we ended up with 7 new or different licensed figures in Wave 1.

The six shown above, plus the guard from Jurassic Park.

As expected, Portal is a unique figure.  This one is 29.99 on Amazon.

Scooby has a new head with his tongue sticking out.  The New figures is on the left in all cases for comparison.  This set is 24.99 on Amazon.

The next two figures are from the Starter Pack.  This is the most exspensive item that I purchased at 99 on Amazon.

Batman has a mix up pf previously released parts.  He has a closed cowl and a differnet head than the figure that already has this body.

Gandalf was very difficult to tell.  They gave him a new face.

Legolas also received a new face that makes this figure unique.  This one is 14.99 on Amazon.  

The witch is new.  The wizard of Oz set is 14.99 on Amazon.

Here are the non unique figures that I picked up today.

Marty is sort of Unique if you count the Guitar, but all of these are identical to the prior figures that were already released in other sets.

I stopped by Toys R Us today and the shelves were still full at 3:00 PM.

I also snapped a picture of the display that they had at Toys R us.  The one at Walmart had a TV in it as well.

TT Games has confirmed that they have a three year plan to add more content to Lego Dimensions.  So the good news is that it is not going anywhere soon!

Here is an excerpt from the interview.

“And there’s no end in sight – developer TT Games is currently planning to support Dimensions with new add-ons until at least 2018.

“We have a three year plan at the moment and we’ve got no intention of stopping there,” associate producer Mark Warburton told Eurogamer during an interview conducted at EGX.

“We’ve created the technology to the degree that we’re happy it meets our needs for the future. We’ve created the toy pad so that it shouldn’t need to be updated. And we can just create new level and character packs to keep expanding that.”

I am starting to see more of these over on eBay so we should see a bunch of review for these shortly.

I most excited about this set with the GhostBusters Slimer and StayPuft.

IGN Just posted the first 15 minutes of the Lego Dimensions Video Game in an interview with TT Games.  It helps to explain quite a bit on how the game works.  You can see it here or by clicking on the image.

It is about 15 minutes and it is pretty interesting.  They discuss the strategy and the ideas behind the game play as well as some of the issues that they had with production.  They also go through the building instructions as well as more views of the portal and the figures.

They also go on to say that it would be ideal to have 3 or 4 people playing the game at once!

I as super excited about all of the new minifigures that we are getting with this video game.  I made a list of all of the new ones here.

I have been hearing a bunch of rumors about new and upcoming Lego Dimensions Packs.  They all appear to be pointing back to this post on Brickset Forums.

Joker is Unique as well.  He has a Blue vest like before, but he only has a single sided head.

He can be Picked up in the DC Comics Team Pack – LEGO Dimensions.  .  Here is the link on Amazon.

EDIT:  09-28-2015 -I missed another one.  Gimli has a new head as well.  🙁  I just went and picked one up.  I will add pics later.

EDIT – 09-27-2015:  I just finished opening these and we appear to have two additional duplicates that I missed before.

WildStyle and Bad Cop are the same ones that come in set 70819 – tlm098 and tlm099.  However, the Gandalf is new.  He has a new head.  I also confirmed that Marty and Homer and Wonder Woman are not new.  Nor Shaggy.  Legolas and Batman and Scooby are new.  I will also add that I am keeping the bases.  They are pretty cool!

After reviewing these, here is the latest pic of all of the unique figures.  See below for more details!

As Far as I can tell,  we have at least 22 new figures or variations coming in the Dimensions sets that will start to be released next weekend.  I may have missed a few and it is possible that one or two of these are mix ups on the Lego art Work side and we may see something a little different in a week, but I did a pretty careful review.  The only ones that I am not sure about are Gandalf and the Ninjago Characters.  I cannot seem to find a good picture of the Gandalf figure and I believe that the Ninjago characters are the same, but I am not familiar enough to make this call on my own.  The rest in my opinion are at least different or new characters in the preview artwork.  I have an image of 20 of these at the bottom of the post just to see them all in one place.

Corrections:  Fixed below, but based on reader comments over at AFOL Lego Facebook page I changed the following:

• Marty is not unique.  He is a repeat.
• Cyborg just has a new Face.
• Laval was added as he has a new torso
• Unikitty was added as she has a new face.

Also per Facebook group LEGO ~ Sell it, Want it, Swap it!!

• Doc Brown just has new hair
• Peter Venkman also has new hair and new arm printing.

And Per user TheLegoExperience below, we know that I was incorrect on Cyborg.  He does not appear to be a new figure.

Legolas has straight lines on his face now.

This appears to be a new ACU character for Jurrasic Park.

WyldStyle has a new mouth!  WyldStyle is the same figure that comes in 70819.

Wizard of Oz Witch is a new Character.

Scooby’s tounge is on the side of his mouth.

Here is my copy of this figure and he definitely has a new mouth.  We now have 5 Scooby Doos!

 

 Portal 2 Character Chell is new

  Ghostbusters Figure – Peter Venkman has new hair and new arm printing. The 12th Doctor is new! This Cyberman guy is also new Superman has a smile now? EDIT:  Per user comment below.  This is not a new figure.  This one looks to be the same as sh155.  Slimer is newStay Puft is newUnikitty has a new face that we have not seen before!

 Batman has a closed cowl in this picture, but the bricklink one with this bogy has an open cowl. Bane has a backpack! Eris has a Gold Torso Cragger appears to have a Gold Torso Midway Arcade Guy is new Correction:  Marty appears to be the same.  He is not new.Doc Brown has new hairLaval also has a new gold torso

We are hearing a bunch of Rumors about new Level and Fun Packs.  Such as the A-Team, Knight RIder, Harry Potter etc.  I posted everything that I could find about this here.
