Lego Real Mr Gold Compared to Fake Chinese Mr Gold Minifigure

I found one of these on eBay and I decided for $10 or $11 bucks, I would see how it compares with a real Mr Gold.  I am using Mr Gold Number 4057 and an eBay special Mr Gold picked up on eBay.  I believe this was the one I picked up here, but I am not positive.  The one I picked up was removed for copyright infringement.  🙂  Go figure!

Here is the video of the two.  I am starting to have fun with these videos, but I still need some more practice!

Overall, I was really impressed with the figure.  The printing was very good.   As for the finish, it was also very nice.  The fit was not as nice.  The legs were a little loose.  Once arm was too tight and the hat is too tight.  I am sure that is fallout fromt he chrome gold coating.

Also, I had to put the arms on my self.   Putting the arms on is very, very difficult!

You can see all of the ones that I have found out on the internet here.

Thanks for looking

It is now being sold on eBay by someone in the Netherlands!  See it here.  The printing looks particularly shiny and nice on this one!  If you look at this users other items, you will see that he is selling off quite a collection.

If looks like a seller on eBay is sellign his Mr Gold Number 2233 and he has had it graded by AFA.  If you look at his sale, you can see that he has included a picture of the AFA grading sheet and it shows partially how they are grading minifigures.  I thought that this was interesting.

Do any of you grade your figures? I have had it done with one that I purchased off of eBay, but I really like to have the figures free and available to be handled.  However, the collector in me likes the idea.

You can see all of the ones that I have found out on the internet here.
