Update: The map takes a second to show up, so please be patient. The map is in the middle of the page and it works best on a computer.
Do you have a Mr Gold? If so, add yourself to the registry and get your historical record of having Mr Gold. See details below. About 10 have been added today.
Lego Mr Gold Prices have been skyrocketing over the past few months. I am pretty sure that they are all sitting in peoples collections and now the amount on the market is getting scarce. A quick look at eBay shows you that they are going for alot now. I found three worldwide on eBay and they are not cheap. You can see them here. I would get yours while you still can. See below for the ones that I found.
Last week, I went to the lego site to print out my Mr Gold Diploma for my son and I could not find the Lego site to print it out anywhere on the internet. I looked everywhere and I could not find it anywhere at all? I tried different links and still no hits. It appears that Lego has removed the site and replaced it with the Simpsons. They also removed the ability to track the Mr. Gold figures that have been found and the ability to register your figure if you did not already. Eek.
The Lego World by Mr Gold
I had saved and old Diploma, so I was OK, but I thought what about all of the other people that have not registered theirs yet. Also, I always liked looking to see how many people were registered and seeing how many of these have been found. I decided to take all the inforamtion that I saved the last time I went to the site and recreate the Interactive Mr Gold map and keep a registry here.
Please see above an interactive recreation of the map before Lego pulled it down. I will continue to update as people let me know about more of these. Please click on the gold bubble to see the images for the figures found in that country. I just have one now, but more will come.
I had saved all of the data from last year and I decided to create a map of what has been found so far so that we all have a reference.
HOW TO ADD YOUR MR GOLD TO THE REGISTRY
Additionally, it you send me an email to shawn@minifigpriceguide.com with the following in it, I will post yours to this page and add you to the count as a sudo registry of found figures and proof that you have one. This will serve as a dated history in case you ever want to prove when you obtained this figure and you are trying to sell it. You may also contact me through this page as well. http://minifigpriceguide.com/wordpress/contact-us/
The email should include
- A picture of your figure
- What number you are
- What Country and State you are from
- A picture of your Your Registration Insert (Blank out the registration code)
- A picture of the bag if you still have it
- Please tell me if you registered already or not on the lego site so I know if I should increase the count for your submission.
- Something in the picture to prove it is yours. Write minifigpriceguide in the corner of the picture on a post it.
See below for an example of what I am looking for.
I will then add this to this page. This page is also directly clickable from the map. As we get a few more of these, I will break this page up by country.

And you will have your history.
Finally, if you need it, here is a Diploma that you can fill out and add your name to hang on the wall.
Also, here is the last map as shown on the Lego site.
Mr Gold Bios
Here is a wonderfull article about how the registration proecess worked before Lego pulled down the site. The registration no longer works, so do not bother trying. However, the article did a nice job of showing how it did work.
