This minifigure was given away as part of the 2014 Cincinnati Comic Expo in September of 2014 in “You guessed it!” Cincinnati Ohio.  🙂  I just found this guy over on eBay and this is the first one of these that I have ever seen so far.  I completely missed this one.

LEGO MINIFIGURE CINCINNATI COMIC EXPO 2014 RARE LIMITED EDITION OF 500 Front

This is the only one that I have seen on eBay.  You can get a look at a bigger picture on his auction here.

I am certain that this is a custom, but it carries a bit of an official feel since it was limited to 500 and because it was a promotional item at a fairly big Comic Con Convention.  I am going to need to start watching these and picking these up when the conventions are on.  This one in particular is really nice.

On the front of the card, it states.

“Favorite Comic – The Adventures of Brickman – Limited Edition of 500 – About the Comic Fan – The comic fan is able to go from the imaginative world of bricks and blocks to the illustrative pages of comics all at the Cincinnati comic expo”

Here is the back of the card.  It says

Here is a close up of the torso and the Brickman comic.  He has Cincinnati Comic Expo and a name tag on the front of his shirt.  He also has a custom printed BrickMan comic book as well.  Very nice looking.

Lego Limited 1 of 1 Large Scale Clone Trooper – Anyone know anything about this one

Found this on eBay a few weeks back and I almost pulled the trigger and bought it as I thought it looks legit.  I also thought I remembered hearing about Lego making some of these back in the day, but I cannot find any details?  Does anyone know anything more about these?

Here is a picture and here is the item on eBay.  It looks to be about 8 inches tall?  It also looks like it was produced by Lego.

Large Scale Clone Trooper

I went back a few days later and it was already gone.  My loss.  But I am still interested in learning about it.

Here is a picture of the gun and the back.  You can see more pictures and a description on the eBay auction.

The other thing that makes me think that this is legit is that is was being sold by a reputable Lego dealer that sells quite a bit.  Premiumbricks on ebay.

Does anyone else have one of these?  If you know anything about them or if you know of any others, please let me know here

Do you think Lego produced this like they produced these?

It looks like this is a mock up since one of the figures is cut off.  Too bad.  You can see some better pictures here.  Update:  Here is where this image is from.  Flickr user vanjey

So I was surfing facebook tonight and I saw this posted on one of the groups here.

Lego Solid Gold c-3p0 for $200

Now, this has to be one of the DK books.  But I wonder what people they have writing these books.  Can you imagine the thought process.

Luke “Hey, I am adding the Solid Gold c-3po to the book on page 13”

Han “What do you think that is worth?”

Luke “Oh, I do not know?  maybe 300.  What do you think?”

Han “Nah, that is too much.  They will think we are crazy.  I am gonna put $200”

How about like $20,000 after you threw this on an auction.  I wonder, maybe even higher.  What do you think.

Do any of you know what book this is from?  I looked in mine and I cannot find it.

Underrated Figure of the week! F1 Williams Team Racer with Torso Sticker

I will be adding this figure to the Price Guide shortly.  I will also be adding the Ferrari figures as well.    However, this figure is going to go up in price shortly.  This figure is rare, easily damaged and very hard to find.  On top of that, it is really nice looking.

If I was Lego, I would have given him a blue helmet, but that is just me.  I love his Barcelona face and it is difficult to even tell that his torso is a sticker.

Nothing special on his back printing, as it is a plain torso with blue arms.  Expect to pay 30 – 40 bucks for this figure in excellent condition and be happy when you find one.

This figure come in only one set.  The Lego 8374 set.  I found this one over on eBay here.

Lego Mr Gold Registry of Found Figures Recreated since Lego Pulled it down

Update:  The map takes a second to show up, so please be patient.  The map is in the middle of the page and it works best on a computer.

Do you have a Mr Gold?  If so, add yourself to the registry and get your historical record of having Mr Gold.    See details below.  About 10 have been added today.

Lego Mr Gold Prices have been skyrocketing over the past few months.  I am pretty sure that they are all sitting in peoples collections and now the amount on the market is getting scarce.  A quick look at eBay shows you that they are going for alot now.  I found three worldwide on eBay and they are not cheap.  You can see them here.  I would get yours while you still can.  See below for the ones that I found.

Last week, I went to the lego site to print out my Mr Gold Diploma for my son and I could not find the Lego site to print it out anywhere on the internet.  I looked everywhere and I could not find it anywhere at all?  I tried different links and still no hits.  It appears that Lego has removed the site and replaced it with the Simpsons.   They also removed the ability to track the Mr. Gold figures that have been found and the ability to register your figure if you did not already.   Eek.

The Lego World by Mr Gold

I had saved and old Diploma, so I was OK, but I thought what about all of the other people that have not registered theirs yet.  Also, I always liked looking to see how many people were registered and seeing how many of these have been found.    I decided to take all the inforamtion that I saved the last time I went to the site and recreate the Interactive Mr Gold map and keep a registry here.

Please see above an interactive recreation of the map before Lego pulled it down.  I will continue to update as people let me know about more of these.  Please click on the gold bubble to see the images for the figures found in that country.    I just have one now, but more will come.

Lego Mr Gold VIP Code

I had saved all of the data from last year and I decided to create a map of what has been found so far so that we all have a reference.

HOW TO ADD YOUR MR GOLD TO THE REGISTRY

Additionally, it you send me an email to shawn@minifigpriceguide.com with the following in it, I will post yours to this page and add you to the count as a sudo registry of found figures and proof that you have one.  This will serve as a dated history in case you ever want to prove when you obtained this figure and you are trying to sell it.  You may also contact me through this page as well.  http://minifigpriceguide.com/wordpress/contact-us/

The email should include

  1. A picture of your figure
  2. What number you are
  3. What Country and State you are from
  4. A picture of your Your Registration Insert (Blank out the registration code)
  5. A picture of the bag if you still have it
  6. Please tell me if you registered already or not on the lego site so I know if I should increase the count for your submission.
  7. Something in the picture to prove it is yours.  Write minifigpriceguide in the corner of the picture on a post it.

See below for an example of what I am looking for.

Lego Mr Gold Number 4057

I will then add this to this page.   This page is also directly clickable from the map.  As we get a few more of these, I will break this page up by country.

http://minifigpriceguide.com/wordpress/lego-mr-gold-images/

And you will have your history.

Finally, if you need it, here is a Diploma that you can fill out and add your name to hang on the wall.

Also, here is the last map as shown on the Lego site.

Here is a wonderfull article about how the registration proecess worked before Lego pulled down the site.  The registration no longer works, so do not bother trying.  However, the article did a nice job of showing how it did work.
