As some of you know, a few of these images surfaced earlier on Friday, but were quickly taken down at the request of Lego.  Well, now they  are official now and what a beautiful set this is.  It is clearly the best set of the year so far, or at a tie for first with the Porsche that was released earlier this year!  Lego is really stepping up its game and it is more that I ever expected.

Here are the details!

• Lego 71040 Disney
• US $349.00  (That is only 8.5 cents a piece!  WOW!)
• 4080 pieces!
• Did I say that they knocked it out of the park?
• Includes 5 Minifigures:
  • Mickey Mouse with a tuxedo
  • Minnie Mouse with red dress
  • Donald Duck with classic outfit
  • Daisy Duck with pink skirt, lavender colored shoes and a bow
  • Tinker Bell with wig element, skirt, wings and a magic wand
• 
  • No Pluto or Goofy, they must be in Series 2 of the collectible minifigures
• It is awesome and it looks like it will make a nice display case for the Disney Minifigures.

Based on the price of this set, I am certain that a few of these figures will eventually make it to the top 100 Rare and Expensive Lego Minifigures list!  See it here.

However, I do not think that any of them are going to overtake the $ Solid Gold Official Lego c-3po minifigure.  Only 5 of those exist!    See here.

It looks like we have plenty of room to put the Lego Disney Minifigures inside of the Castle!  I am also pretty sure we will get another series of these for sure now that we have not seen Goofy and Pluto yet!

I posted a pic of My Disney Series 1 Minnie next to it for comparison.

If you look at it, it is one of the following…

• A fake
• An upcoming figure from the Disney Castle 71040 or Disney Series 2
• Or a misprint of some sort.  Someone accidentally make a red skirt instead of a pink skirt?

They legs and head and skirt look pretty similar.  The paint quality is not perfect, but that could be because it is an early figure.

I am not sure, but I thought I would let you decide.
