I am not sure if similar offers are available in other countries, but a reader informed me yesterday that this litho which is limited to 500 units in total is a pre-order bonus with your pre-order of the Force Awakens video game.  This particular offer is in Holland.

That is a pretty small distribution.  He stated that you also get the X-Wing poly bag as well!  Here is an image of the litho.  I am told that it is a little bigger than A4 size or about 30 x 40 CM.  But I am not certain if this is exact.

I am not sure, but according to this post here, these were handed out by HBO in July of 2014 to critics.  I have not seen this before and I know nothing more about it.  Well except that three have recently made it to eBay in the last few days!.

I just saw this over on eBay here.  This is an interesting piece that I saw a few Facebook posts on last year but never saw any more listed.  I have not seen anything more on it since then either.

I do not think that Lego produced this, but rather Sony did as a giveaway for the conference.  Pretty neat item.  I have no idea how many were produced.  Per the seller, not too many 🙂  I do not think that is an official number.

EDIT:  Wanted – if you have one of these and are willing to part with it, I will pay $200 each for a few of these for my collection and one of my friends.  Please let me know via email shawn@minifigpriceguide.com if you have one for sale that you would like to get rid of.  I will for sure take up to three of them in new condition with the base plate numbered.    Also, if you have one and do not want to sell and you just want to share information with me, I would appreciate an email as well.    I would also like to see the back of this figure!

I was notified about this during the past week via a Facebook reader.  It appears that Lego made 400 numbered, yes numbered will.i.am minifigures (serialized 1-400) to be given away at “LA’s Best Brunch” (see here)  a few weeks ago.  After some quick google searching and a few messages on forums, here is the basic information that I have been able to obtain.  Please correct me if I am incorrect.

First, after hearing about it and googling for a while, I found this forum post via brickset here.   This came up on google.  I really figured this was a spoof at first.  I have been saying that Lego should number these minifigures for years.  They are missing a certain market by doing this!  Then after some further research and some forum questions, I found the original facebook post.  All I can say is FLOORED.I.AM!

And for the doubters that are still out their, here is another pic from reddit about a week ago.  See Lego Logo on the back.  Also, an inside source from Lego also verified hat these are real as well as this was a Lego sponsored event.
