I am a collector at heart like many of you. I am also a completest and when a collection is not complete, I often have a hard time sleeping until it is complete again.
Here is my Star Wars Promotional Brick Collection. I started this when I used to collect everything Lego Star Wars and in a time long ago before Lego introduced Super Hero Minifigures. Now I just collect Star Wars lego and a lot of other stuff. It is a terrible combination for my wallet.
Here is a picture of the back of these bricks.
I was recently browsing the web and I found this site. http://www.promobricks.de/ which lists out alot of the Duplo and Lego special bricks.
This German site has a great collection of these promotional bricks and the photos are all very good quality. After about 15 minutes of browsing, I noticed a brick that I did not have in my collection. Eek! More money!

The main catalog for the site can be found here. It looks like he is putting together a collection of all system and duplo promotional bricks. This is on my bucket list of things to collect when I win the lottery.
The site also has a history on many of the bricks to give you more details. For the one above, he has the following.
“This promo Brick was exclusively granted to members of the 501 German Garrison, who participated in the LEGOLAND® Germany in Günzburg from May 30 to June 2, 2013 at the Star Wars ™ days. This stone is not easy to get. It is estimated that the support is likely to be at 100-150 copies. On the back there is the normal LEGOLAND® Star Wars ™ days imprint.”
I quickly checked bricklink and I found another one that I do not have as well. But at least this one was just give out a few days ago. I had to order this one. I could not stop myself. This picture was posted here on Bricklink.
I will try to post a new picture when I receive this in the mail.
As for the 501st legion Brick, it looks like this one is going to escape my collection for now as it is selling for about $150 on Bricklink.
How cool would a large display case with a few hundred different promotional bricks in it look. I tried looking on google, but I could not find a good search term that worked for this. I will have to send an email to Promobricks. Maybe they can post one of their collection
Update: Two other bricks released this year. This one is from Celebration 2015
And this one is on Bricklink and has to be another rare and exclusive 501st Legion Brick that goes with the other one above. It is also for sale on Bricklink for about $150 US.
Image found on Bricklink.
I now see a few more of these on Bricklink that I do not have as well. Ughh… Is someone just printing on the back of these and tormenting me?
Update: Over on brickset Forum, a few users updated my request for more information on these blocks. Here are two additional sites that have a bundh of information on these blocks with better pictures of some of the rare ones.
