This case and package were exclusive to the 2013 SDCC and it created quite a stir.  I still do not know how many of these exist, but i am guessing somewhere between 40 and 100 of these total were produced.  I just saw this one over on eBay and it ends in about 3 hours.

They were randomly given away to participants of the convention by Lego people walking around the convention.
