I am probably going to order this as I missed it in the Theaters.  I t kind of snuck up on me and I did not even realize it was out.  Amazon currently has it for $22.98.

Lego Brickumentary DVD and VlueRay

I was reading the Amazon reviews of this movie and it has done very well.   Here are a few Excepts.

Applications abound:
* A therapist named “Dr Legoff” (no kidding!) successfully treats children with Autism. They learn how to work as a three-person team and it is remarkable!
* People from rock stars to basketball heroes play with Legos® to relax.
* We see an artist (a former lawyer) create an amazing show that draws not only adult aficionados and children, but legitimate art critics!
* We see interviews at MIT, in Japan, Denmark, the Prague, plus countless other cities, where children and adults express their admiration and love for their favorite pastime.
* Legos® are used by movie makers, Master Builders, NASA, architects, city planners, and hobbyists, to name just a few.
* A mathematician at a chalkboard is still working on the “infinite possibilities” offered in the Legos® world.”

“A LEGO Brickumentary” (2014 release from Denmark and the US; 93 min.) opens with seeing 3 LEGO minifigs on a space ship, and the narrator (Jason Bateman) telling us he’ll explain later what that is about. Soon after, we get a LEGO 101 on the company’s roots and history. But it’s not too long before we finally get what we all came to see this for: bigger, better, ever more imaginative if not out-right exotic LEGO creations. Along the way, we get the LEGO celebrity fans (Ed Sheeran singing his hit single “Lego House”, NBA player Dwight Howard, etc.). Co-directors Kief Davidson and Daniel Junge decide to keep things very light-hearted. There is only the slightest critical comment about LEGO, and even there, it’s turned into a plus for LEGO (how the company turned things around financially by listening better to its customers). The best part of the movie comes in the second half, when the co-directors look at the possible therapeutic effects of playing with LEGO, and also where a Danish university math professor examines whether he can come up with a formula for finding how many different positions just 6 or 7 LEGO bricks can be used/interlocked.”

Slimer (also known as Onionhead and Little Spud) was a ghost made up of pure Ectoplasm and the first ghost successfully captured by the Ghostbusters. Slimer is well known for his gigantic appetite and the slime he leaves behind when he passes through solid objects.

Slimer was a legendary ghost to all on the original staff of the Sedgewick Hotel. His usual territory was the twelfth floor, but his outings were usually non-violent and simply involved eating food. As a result, the hotel was able to keep a lid on the supernatural problems (for a while). For some reason,Gozer’s approaching time of arrival provoked Slimer (and many other ghosts) into being much more active than usual. Eventually the staff couldn’t keep the ghost a secret anymore and called the Ghostbusters. However, the Ghostbusters had not yet fully tested their equipment and weren’t completely prepared for a full capture. Ray was the first to find Slimer, but missed him and Slimer escaped into the next hall, where he slimed Peter Venkman.

After many errant shots and the resulting destruction, Slimer flew into the Alhambra Ballroom where the Ghostbusters made another attempt at capture. Though Slimer is at first tossed around by some more missed shots, the Ghostbusters eventually manage to get him in the streams. Slimer was then caught in the Trap and put in the storage facility. However, he was released with the many other ghosts when the storage facility was shut down by Walter Peck. Slimer occupied a hot dog cart on on 1221 Avenue of the Americas in front of the Rockefeller Plaza. When the Hot Dog Vendor opened the cart, he was naturally shocked to see a ghost. After the Ghostbusters defeated Gozer and left Central Park West, Slimer was sighted in the area.

Slimer seemed to be a pet to the Ghostbusters, though it’s unknown what he had been doing since the Ghostbusters were put out of business years ago. Slimer did resurface after the Ghostbusters started up again and had apparently gotten much fatter in the span of five years. Throughout the Vigo incident of 1989, Slimer interacted with Louis Tully. The two first met when Louis caught Slimer eating his lunch, to which the two of them fled in fear. On New Year’s Eve, Louis decides to take up a Proton Pack and help the Ghostbusters. In an attempt to patch up their initial misunderstanding, Slimer helped an exhausted Louis by giving him a ride to the Manhattan Museum of Art (to which Louis wonders how he got his license). It seems likely Slimer had simply commandeered an abandoned bus from the havoc resulting from Vigo’s Mood slime assault.

The LEGO Slimer is made up of 452 bricks and will be a great display piece for any Ghostbusters fan.

Since then, I have been seeing a bunch of people list these on eBay, but no real deliveries.  Today, I see at least three people with this set in hand and also additional Box Images to go with them.  This set is a little too expensive for me, so I am sad to say that I will not have a super big hole in my super hero collection.  It is a sad day indeed.

You can see all of these here or click on the individual links below to see the ones where people have taken actual delivery.

Search for more on eBay.  These may or may not already have delivery.

Click on the below pictures to see these over on eBay!

As the title suggest, I recently became a subscriber of Blocks Magazine and this give you the right to order Three Exclusive Lego Minifigures.  They are technically customs, but I kind of start collection anything that is make for a real company.  That is my rule of thumb.    I also collect some really neat customs as well, if I do not think I will ever see a Lego version at any time in the future.

So anyhow, if you are a subscriber, this gives you the right to order the three Exclusive Bloks minifigures.  No 1, The Govenor.  No 2, The Snapper and No 3, Shelly the Subs Girl.    After you become a subscriber, you can email sales@blocksmag.com to place an order for a nominal fee.  Pretty neat deal in my opinion.

Here is a picture of mine that just arrived today in the mail!!!!!!  WoHoo!!!!  I love getting minifigures in the mail.  My wife is not as fond of the event as I am.  🙁

Lego San Francisco Giants AT&T Build-able Player Given away at the game on 9/12/2015

This post and site contains Affiliate links. I may earn a small commission if you click on them. Click here for more details.

The giants held their first Lego day yesterday at the part.  Per the original poster, they had full size figures built from Lego bricks of Buster Posey and Lou Seal.  This set is currently on Sale on eBay and I am thinking about getting it.  I cannot decide yet.

Lego Giants AT&T Free Miniland Building Set Given away

100’s of kids were able to build their own Lego designs at Lou Seal plaza, as the people from LEGO brought out 1000’s of bricks for people to build.

The set given away was in a box this time and it contained 38 pieces.  It allows you to build your own Giants player.

Too bad it was not a minifigure like the Red Sox Giveaway about 16 years ago.  You can read about that one here.  It is currently selling for about $100 US and it is a pretty rare piece.

here is a pic of the figure from 1999.  One of my favorites.

I am just saying. Why did this Lego Baseball sell for $222.50?

Please comment on post or on Facebook if you know anything about this.  Maybe you are lucky and you have one at home sitting in your garage.  This is silly.  Obviously someone collects these kinds of things like we collect Lego’s!   All I can say is Wow!  I just saw this auction over on eBay when I was looking for a Lego Giants Miniland Figure for my collection.

Lego Souvenir Baseball from 2001 view 1

It is a fancy looking ball and it has a minifigure picture on it, so it does have that going for it.  🙂  I like it, and it must be rare, but I did not realize that this collector market existed.

You can see a few more pictures here.

It says that it was sold at the Lego Downtown Disney Store in 2001.

Let me know what you think?
