EDIT:  I just received some additional info on this guy.  It appears that 150 of these were made in Enfield for Additionally, one just showed up on eBay here.

This listing also gives us the first look at this Rick Grimes figure as well.  One more item of note, is that the instructions have fake blood splatter on them!  How cool is that.  Nice job Lego.

I have been hunting for this set for quite some time and as far as I can tell, this is the first time that this has been mentioned on the internet anywhere.  This set was an exclusive given out at the 2015 Brand Retail Managers Conference and as far as I can tell, must have been in limited quantities.  I am looking for a copy of this set if you have one to sell, please contact me at shawn@minifigpriceguide.com and I will get back to you right away.  You can also PM me on Facebook as well.

as you can see, this set contains 145 pieces and an exclusive minifigure as well.

Here are the parts in the set.  I will see if I can get a scan of the instruction in the near future.

If you remember, this is the third of these types of exclusives that we have been able to locate.

We had the 2016 Zack the Lego Maniac which we mentioned a few months ago.

Lego 2017 LBR Lego Brand Retail Manager Conference Atlanta Georgia The Magical Brick Specialist

This post and site contains Affiliate links. I may earn a small commission if you click on them. Click here for more details.

Well, last week was the Lego Brand Retail (LBR) Managers Conference that was held in Atlanta Georgia.   As has been the custom for the past few years, this conference brings along with it a new  exclusive limited run and certainly impossible to find minifigure that will be impossible to add to my collection.  🙁  It goes without saying that if you have one of these, I am interested in getting it.  🙂

This years figures is “The Magical LBR Brick Specialist” and continues on with the theme of the employee uniform.     It looks like he also comes packaged up with a top hat, an extra hair, a bunny rabbit and something else?  Possibly a card.  It anyone has any more pics of this, please contact me.  I have not heard how many of these were produced, but they were give out to Retail Store Managers only.

I am also interested in trading with you if you have one.  Please let me know by Facebook PM or an email to Shawn@minifigpriceguide.com

This figure joins a pretty exclusive cast of minifigures from the past three years.

Lego 2014 London HQ Hubster Minifigure is pretty interesting and appears to be fairly rare

This post and site contains Affiliate links. I may earn a small commission if you click on them. Click here for more details.

I Just saw one of these figures again on eBay here.  I was made a aware of this figure a few months ago on a Facebook group and I was not able to find out any additional information on the figure. Since then, I have seen three more of these figures posted including this one.  The pic below is the one that I saw on the Facebook group a few weeks ago so you can compare to the one on eBay here

You can see the the auction on eBay here.

I contacted the seller on eBay and he stated that these were given out by Lego at the London HQ grand opening.  He stated that they had about a bowls worth of these figures at the party and he is not sure how many left the building and are out in the wild.

Here is a quick video review that I did of this figure…

I had asked around a few months ago to some Lego employees and they were not aware of this figure, but they did state that the Lego office in London was referred to as a hub.

Thanks for looking

Wanted Toy Fair 2012 Lanyard for Captain America and Iron Man

EDIT:  Please contact me at Shawn@minifigpriceguide.com if you have one to sell

As many of you know, Lego handed out 125 Iron Man and Captain America Sets at the 2012 New York Toy Fair.   As part of this promotion Lego also produced about 75-200 additional sets of these figures that were given away to employees and corporate partners.  These sets were not distribute with the Lanyard.  I am not sure if they came wiht the baggie.  I have hear reports both ways.

I have heard all numbers, but 75 or 100 is the most consistent set of numbers that I have heard.   So, I believe that 200 – 225 sets of these minifigures exist.

Image Source – Lego.wikia.com – They have a more detail about the figure set here

I myself bought a set of these on the day that they were released that came with the Lanyard and the baggie, but at the time, this was a lot of money for a minifigure and I ended up selling the Lanyard and the baggie to help pay for the figure.  My wife would have flipped if she knew what the little bugger cost.

Looking back, this was probably a mistake, but it is like not buying the UCS Millenium Falcon.  Nothing that we can do about it.  Also, since I only display the minifigures, I really did not care about the Lanyard as it did not matter.  I still woul not display the lanyard, so I still stick by the decision.  🙂

With that said, I have a reader that is interested in completing his set.  He is looking for a Lanyard if you have one to sell.  He is also interested in the baggie as well, but the Lanyard is the main focus.  If you have one, please send me an email to Shawn@minifigpriceguide.com and I will forward this email to the reader so you two can talk.

If you have a specific figure that you are looking for or if you have something good to sell and you want me to give it a shout out, please let me know.

Thanks for looking

Lego semi official – Dutch and German and US 501st Garrison Minifigures

I have put individual pics of these figures below down in the post.

After the Solid Gold and Silver Boba Fett and C-3PO figures, these are some of rarest figures that I have come across!  I have been meaning to do a post on these for quite some time and it has proven difficult to locate information on all of these minifigures as it appears that a cloud of mystery surrounds these elusive figures.  I have tried to compile all of the information that I can find about these elusive figures.  I cannot guarantee the accuracy of these facts, but these appear to be the most valid information that I can find.  Please read the info below and some of the links that I have posted and make your own conclusion.

One other items that is interesting that I have read in a few places that also makes these difficult to find.  501st Legion members are not allowed to sell 501st promotional material.   It appears that if they sell anything, that it is in violation of the agreement with Lucas or or Star Wars or something and that they can get in trouble.

It also appears that these were not endorsed by Lego or Lucas, but that they were produced by and for the 501st Legion which has the right to produce Star Wars merchandise, but not to sell it?  So while not official, they appear official enough for me to be interested in collecting them sine they were produced by a sanctioned body.  They appear to have been at least permitted by Lego.

Here is a post on RebelScum.com that explains the origins of the German ones a little and claims that they are some what official but not really official.   Again, I cannot confirm this, but I want a set if anyone is selling plese contact me ASAP!  . See it here.  “These were made by someone working within Legoland Germany.  They were a thank you to the German garrison for there attendance at the Star Wars 30th Anniversary charity fund raising event at Legoland Germany. The figures were given to all the members who attended as a thank you with the rest being sold on the website.  The threads original post states these were a thank you gift from Lego.  …
As nearly 900 501st figs were produced, these are a bit more than just much-hyped custom figs.  Don’t give up so quick!”

and here

“They are not official nor endorsed. I have had this confirmed by LEGO in Enfield and Billund, as well as Lucasfilm. They were made by a staff member at LEGOland Germany. None of the LEGOland parks are owned by LEGO (they were sold off 3 years ago) and so the person who made them does not work for LEGO.”

Basically, it sounds like they were made by a Lego employee, that they are not quite official, not quite custom and that they were made by thelittlearmsshop.com.  I am pretty sure that this is every collectors dream!

I first became aware of these in around 2007 and 2008 when I saw a few sets of these listed on eBay and I saw mention of these on Eurobricks here and Rebulscum here.  I believe that I also saw them over on FBTB.net and Brickset as well, but the the links are eluding me right now.

It appears that all of these were created for the 501st Legion in Germany, US and Netherlands by the Little Arms Shop.  See here for their webpage.  I am not positive about the US version being made by http://www.thelittlearmsshop.com, but it appears likely that it was the same company.

The US versions is a Clone Trooper while the German and Dutch versions are StormTroopers / SandTroopers

I have heard varied numbers on their production and the variants.  I am certain of 5 different variants, but I have recently read that a 6th one may exist.  I have not yet confirmed the identity or validity of the 6th variant.  Nor have I confirmed what it may be.  So if anyone knows, please let me know in an email or a post.

US Garrison Version 501st Limited Edition Clone Trooper Minifigure without a Pauldron – Limited to 600 units

You can see this one here.

German Garrison 501st Limited Edition Stormtrooper / Sandtrooper Minifigure came in three colors with either a black, white or orange Pauldron – Other than the Pauldron colors, the figures appear identicle.  Limited to 95 – 100 units for each color.  On another thread on Rebelscum, I heard that only 260 total of these were made with an unknown number per a color.

Here they are on minifigs.nl OrangeBlack and White

These are really neat and I would love to add a set to my collection.  I will be adding these to the price guide shortly as I am still doing some research on what the value should be for these.  I know what I would pay!, but I will need to see a few on Lego and I am also asking some people that I know that have them what they paid.

Thanks for looking

Something special tonight – Lego Brand Retail 2016 Shanghai Store

This post and site contains Affiliate links. I may earn a small commission if you click on them. Click here for more details.

I have been really busy with family all over my house this past week, so I have not posted very much.    I thought I would try to make up for it with a picture of some pretty rare minifigures that I just picked up recently!

EDIT:  I received a few comments from readers.  Here it is below.

“It was a gift to celebrate opening of two LBR shops in first half of this year, Paris in April and then Shanghai in May i think. That yellow brick is printed from both sides 😉 Even the prouction number you have right, aprox 200 girls and 200 boys where made. Gifted only to employees in Lego SMCD Kladno about month ago.”

“They were produced 4 kinds of figures one blond girl in the picture is missing from each type produced only 50pcs of each as a gift only for the builders of large models to newly opened stores in Shanghai and Paris. This is a very rare minifigure.”

and

“It was given not only to model builders, but all people in our building, we all participate, from project planners, developers, designers, warehouse, MB to mechanics who install and complete models on those stores. I am also not aware of any other printed torso then the “Shanghai” version. So if there is “Paris” version, id like to see picture 😀 Actual meaning of that celebration is included in that classic yellow brick with double print, “two shops at once”

I will add a picture of the Paris side of the brick.  I had not included that in the original post.  I was wondering if a Paris variety of this figure also existed as well!  However, from my research, it appears that one does not.

EDIT:  Here is the Paris side of the brick.

20160819_182510

I picked these up from someone close to Lego last week and I was really excited about these.  I am told that about 200 of these were made and this is the first that I have seen of them anywhere.  I took a picture of the front and the back of these so you could see each one.  The girl and the boy are different, the second boy is a duplicate, but I included him to show you the reverse torso.  The duplicate is not mine.  It belongs to someone else.  The person that found these for me.    For the second picture, I just flipped them around so you could see the back.

Obviously from the figures, it looks like they were produced at the Kladno factory.  I am not sure if this was a special event or what.  If anyone know, please send me a message.

Thanks!
