In May 2015, we are going to have a booming Simpson’s month.  We are getting at least one Simpsons (The KWIK-E Mart) set (71016) as well as a full line of Collectible minifigures.  The set number for these will be 71009 and should retail for $3.99 as with Series 1.

The list of figures are as follows and contains some great characters.  With the amount of characters in the Simpsons Universe, they should be able to keep this series going for quite some time.  You can see the full list of current figures here.

http://www.minifigpriceguide.com/SIMPSONS.0.html  This is the 16 from Series 1 and the 5 from the Simpsons house.

Quite a few molds were leaked a few weeks back on www.pockyland.net and taobao

I took the liberty of adding some images from the Playmates World of Springfield Characters since they look so similar to fill in a few of the blanks and to give you a reference of what they may look like.

Maggie with Santa’s Little Helper – this is the leaked Lego Santa’s Little helper mold with the Series 1 Maggie.  I am not sure how they are going to change Maggie.

Comic Book Guy – This is the leaked Lego Comic Book Guy mold along with the  World of Springfield Comic Book Guy for reference.  I do not think that they will make the figure fat, but it is possible since they did it with one of the Hobbit figures.

Groundskeeper Willie – Here is the leaked Lego mold along with the  World of Springfield Groundskeeper Willie.  They look spot on.  I imagine that he will come with a rake.

Dr. Hibbert – Here is the leaked Lego mold along with the  World of Springfield Dr. Hibbert.  I like the Lego mold better in this case.  I hope he comes with a Stethoscope and a Hammer.

A few years back we learned of this figure in a few places.  FBTB.net reported on it here.

Here are a few pictures that I obtained from an individual that has (had) one of these. He no longer has it and he does not know of any others.  I currently have it valued at about $2500.

They were shown at the the Fan Display at Star Wars Weekend in 2010.  They also made an appearance in the Star Wars visual dictionary as well in chapter 4.

Here is a post of Eurobricks that shows someone else that has one.

Here is a Flickr account from the poster that shows a few views of the figure.  He is the same individual that posted on Eurobricks I believe.

Finally, does anyone know where these figures were displayed or where this picture was taken?

I order the rest of the club magazines that I was missing from Bricklink and I searched through them to find out what clips I missed when looking through these 7 years ago.  It is amazing that they did not make a bigger deal about this.

I found a few more pictures and I have updated the article to have all of the images.

One of the Best Lego Super Hero Minifigure Displays that I have ever seen

This post and site contains Affiliate links. I may earn a small commission if you click on them. Click here for more details.

A few years back I ran across a user on ebay katiecody or C3BRIX.  He was selling a minifigure display and I fell in love with it.  He never did sell it, but he was kind enough to send me a few pictures of it along with a few variations that he has tried.  I think that he ended up deciding that he did not want to get rid if it.  I do not blame him.

C3Brix Display 1

At the time, this was about the best display that I had ever seen.  It was perfect.  Modular, able to be added on to and it looked awesome.  The only issue at all would be dust I thought, but I could live with that!

Cody (the individual that built this) is a Lego professional that builds custom items and mosaics.  He has had some really nice items that I have seen in the past.  He has a website that can be seen here.

I immediately went to Bricklink to find the piece that he used.  40242.  I figured that I would just build one.  Well after spending about a year trying to buy enough pieces, I gave up.  This is a pretty rare piece that no one was selling very many of and especially in this color.  It only came in One Harry Potter set.

At the time, we had about 75 superhero minifigures, 30 Batman minifiguresand 30 Spiderman minifigures.  So I figured I needed to get to at least 200 to leave some room to grow.  In hindsight, that would not have been enough.

Now, we have more than 200 and counting.  see links below.

Here are a few more pics of his display.

I purchased everyone that existed and I figured I would just wait.

I made it up to about 75 of them and I gave up.  I also tried other colors as well, but Lego must not have made very many of these.  Eventually, I sent the green ones to Cody to make his display bigger and I am sitting on the rest with no real purpose as I have not been able to get enough in any one color.  See below.  I am getting close with orange.  🙂

Cody, if you see this, I still have one green one that I need to send to you!

bag of 40242

I also found a youtube video that shows a few close up of some of the figures.  Cody is a huge customizer as well and has some pretty nice unique pieces.  When I played this video, it did not have sound, but maybe it will work for you.

If you watch the youtube video, you can see some of his pieces.  He has also had a few items out on Lego Idea such as a Ghostbusters House that are really neat.

Collectible Minifigure Series?

I am a huge Lego Fan and I also love Scooby Doo.  I can not wait to see the official figures coming out in the sets listed below.  I did not think that this rumor was real because Cobi currently has the line with their Character Building Sets.  But it looks to be true that we will be getting at least 5 sets and possibly a set of collectible figures as well!  See the set list below.  I also have some pictures of a leaked Jack-o-Lantern head that I think will be from this line as well at the end of the article.

Lego Scooby Doo

I bought all of the Cobi figures last year and I put the heads on Lego bodies since they fit so well.  I put them back on the Cobi bodies to show you here.

I am betting that we wll get all of the figures above, plus a bunch of monsters to add to our Halloween Collections!  I think that the heads will follow the Simpsons line, and they need to at least look better than the ones above.  Right?

You can see all of the Lego  monsters here.

Lego Iron Legion and Iron Man figures spotted in wild. 76038 Attack on Avengers Tower

It looks like someone in Mexico has obtained the Lego Iron Legion and the Lego Iron Man figures from the Summer 2015 Super Heroes wave of sets.  These appear to be from Lego set 76038 that will be released in April or May 2015.  I think the figure looks good, but not as good as it would have with regular minifigure head.

Iron Legion Front Image

You can see the full line of Lego Super Heroes figures with current values here.

As I stated, these figures are going to be in the 2015 summer wave of Marvel Super Hero sets.  In particular set 76038 Attack on Avengers Tower.  This set will contain 511 pieces and by far looks the best out of the Summer wave so far.  I think if you purchased a few of these, they could probably be combined into a enormous MOC.   I will take that back once I see the Lego Helicarrier set which will be released in February.

IRON MAN

This set will most likely be released as a part of the “Age of Ultron” movie that is going to be released on May first 2015.  The Age of Ultron is the Sequel to the 2012 Blockbuster Avengers movie and I am certain it will be a huge it.

The trailer was recently released and I cannot wait to see the movie.  You can see the trailer here.

See the links to the eBay auctions below.  In my opinion, these all look real and the location of the adds are correct also.  All of them are in Mexico, Texas or Southern California.

Lego has a new plant in Mexico that they use to produce figures for North and South America.  Per this news release here we know this about the plant “A 48,000 square meters expansion of the current LEGO factory in Mexico creates approximately 1000 jobs and enables the LEGO Group to better service core markets in North and South America”.
