A user on eBay just contacted me and told me about this listing and it looks pretty interesting. This is a user that has listed a few prototypes before so I thought it looked pretty interesting. Here is the description. Source eBay. I have shown the prototype next to an official image from Vincent’s Flickr page. The prototype figure does not have any painting on it. Pretty neat find if you ask me.
Looking at this figure gives some insight into how Lego produces the prototypes for these and works on creating the initial mould. I wonder if would end up machining down the ball on the top to make the stud because the 3D Printer cannot make the proper tolerance? Just a thought.

The top of figured was created by a 3D printer by Lego then molded into the final plastic Lego piece once digital photos had been taken. I know in the past that this user sold a George Lucas figure on eBay a long long time ago.

LEGO Dimensions packs based on 16 new entertainment properties will begin launching on September 27, 2016 with the Ghostbusters Story Pack, Adventure Time and Mission: Impossible Level Packs, Harry Potter and Adventure TimeTeam Packs, and The A-Team Fun Pack. Additional expansion packs based on other highly anticipated films Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them andThe LEGO® Batman Movie and wildly popular properties The Goonies, Sonic The Hedgehog, Teen Titans Go!, LEGO® City Undercover, Knight Rider, The Powerpuff Girls, Gremlins, Beetlejuice and E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial will be released in product waves stretching into summer of next year. All expansion packs provide players with continued compatibility to use everything from waves 1-9 interchangeably, anywhere throughout the game. And no new starter pack is required, as all new packs will simply enhance the LEGO Dimensions Starter Pack game and work with the existing LEGO Toy Pad.

It looks like Amazon Mexico has released the first images of Wave 2 of the Lego Dimensions packs and sets. These were coming tomorrow anyways and we should still see a few more tomorrow morning. Sonic, Harry Potter, The Fantastic Beasts & Where To Find Them, Adventure Time, Ghostbusters Reboot, Mission Impossible, Teen Titans, The Goonies, Powerpuff Girls, Sonic, Knight Rider, Teen Titans, Gremlins and ET. Also, Do not forget Green Arrow and Super Girl…

I just found another one of these over on eBay here.
I spoke to a Lego Store Manager a few weeks ago and he told me that they are no longer handing these out at the stores! Bummer, so once these are in collections, they will be harder to get a hold of.

I am not sure if similar offers are available in other countries, but a reader informed me yesterday that this litho which is limited to 500 units in total is a pre-order bonus with your pre-order of the Force Awakens video game. This particular offer is in Holland.
That is a pretty small distribution. He stated that you also get the X-Wing poly bag as well! Here is an image of the litho. I am told that it is a little bigger than A4 size or about 30 x 40 CM. But I am not certain if this is exact.
