A user on reddit just posted this awesome find.  See it here.  It appears that he is a winner of one of the 10 Solid Sterling Silver R2-D2 minifigures that Lego has made for promotions.  This particular one was given away as part of a prize give away in December.

You can see the post about the contest here.    I am not sure how many silver ones were given away as it just indicates 5 prizes and that that may be a silver, platinum or a signed figure?  It looks like this person got really really lucky!

FIVE (5) PRIZES:
One (1) Winner will receive the Platinum R2-D2 ARV: $3,300.00.
Two (2) Winners will each receive one (1) Sterling Silver R2-D2 ARV: $330.00 each.

It looks like these made the rounds today and are posted everywhere.  I have no idea who posted first, but as usual, I will just tell you what you are interested in.  The minifigures!  It looks like you will need to get all 5 sets to get the 5 commemorative figures and that they will set you back about $310 plus tax to get all of the figures!

I am pretty hyped about the 20th Anniversary figures with the printing on the back of the torsos!  You can see one of them here on eBay.  All five of them are like this.

This is the first that I have heard or seen of this.  Not sure if this will be a new thing in 2019, or if this is a one off.  If this is a new thing for 2019, Lego is again differentiating themselves from the knockoff brands by introducing dual moulded headgear into the stormtrooper helmets!  At least i believe that this is a new thing.

Saw this over here on Instagram here.  I do not collect a lot of prototypes, but I do fancy this one.  🙂

I just saw this over on facebook in a few groups.  This one in particular here  It looks like they have 300 per a store and it is free with a $50 purchase from Friday (today) until Sunday.  Go now to your local Lego store!  🙂
