I just found this for sale on eBay here.

I cannot find any information about this or any other postings online anywhere.  Have any of you sen this before anywhere?  Do you know when it was available.  I know that the Times Square Lego store has different promotions than the other stores in the US, so this does not surprise me.

Here is the information from the listing.

“PREVIOUSLY AVAILABLE ONLY AT THE TIMES SQUARE TOYS R US “PICK-A-BRICK” STATION. THE CONSTRUCTED ITEM IS APPROXIMATELY 6 INCHES TALL AND CONSISTS OF APPROXIMATELY 130 OFFICIAL LEGO PIECES”

I would like to see these instructions!  It looks like a pick a bricks as it looks to be made of multiples of the same pieces.

It looks like this is being found in a few places.  It sounds like you build a Monkey in Legoland Malaysia and they give you this brick.  I was able to find one en Ebay here.

I have said it before and i will say it again.  The only thing stopping me from collecting the little gems is a lack of money.  🙂

De Bouwsteen means The Building Block in Dutch and is currently the largest lego club in the world with 700 member per the clubs website here.

The building block is the Dutch LEGO club, which was founded in 1994 by a few enthusiastic LEGO®bouwers and collectors. The association has approximately 700 members and is currently the largest Lego club in the world.

I was recently reacquainted with an Exclusive Minifigure that was produced for their show in 2005 while I was reading my Copy of I love that Minifigure!   I normally only buy these books for the figures, but I found myself really enjoying this one as it made me take notice of 7 or 8 minifigures that I had not decided to collect in the past.

Every year, they have an annual show called “The LEGO World Fan Event.   In 2005, at that event, they had an exclusive minifigure that came with the certificate shown and was limited to 1000 total being given away or produced.  I am not sure if they wee sold or given away or raffled off.

He is currently number 43 on the top 100 most expensive list at about $125 US dollars.

On the certificate, it says that the figure was produced with Special Permission of the Lego Group and that it is limited to 1000 figures.  The certificate and the figure came in a small ziplock back with a de bousteen sticker to seal it up!

Pretty rare.  Only 80 of them ever.  Thanks goodness it did not have any minifigures.
